When I first look at this 10 years old wood signs I was excited to start thinking how I could make them bright and beautiful as years ago. This was my real restore of wood signs. Pieces was missing, paint was with bubbles and wood was crack in different point. Replace the wood, sanding, recarving and repaint was an incredible success. Now every time I pass by Big Wave Daves I turn my eyes to check if the sign is still beauty as 10 years ago.

When Michelle Berk and Mike Tailor asked me to give relevance to their new place in Playa Guiones I wanted to work on the idea of the logo starting from the concept of the movie The Endless Summer. Silhouette of the kids in front of the sun and a 70's script with yellow and orange colors was the solution. Wood signs took shape in two different proportions, square and rectangular. We also build a beautiful A-frame chalkboard with two mini wood signs on top to announce daily specials of the delicatessen. Super details and a lot of love for this amazing project.

The new TM logo had to be carved in a beautiful piece of pochote with a teka wood structure. This time the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort needed to let guests know how to go without get lost in the area. For this project Gary asked me almost 100 directional wood signs! A long and accurate work that keep me busy more than a month but add patience to my soul. Keep on moving, now I can go to the Yoga Shala without get lost!

When I met Amba she asked me something different, bright, for day and night, for life. Wood was a good option but not the right one. Work on metal with stainless steel was exactly the answer. Plasma cutting, satin finish and projecting structure and light system was the rest of the work. 4 beautiful metal signs give to the Nosara Yoga Institute a new, brilliant image. Sorry now I have to run to my yoga class..

Nosara verde project was something that bring my heart. I’d loved to worked for Jodie, for the road sign and the homes signs. The two wood poles that hang the main sign in the road were thinked to give to the logo wood sign importance and evidence.

Tibidabo is a mountain overlooking Barcelona, Spain. At 512 metres (1,680 ft), it is the tallest mountain in the Serra de Collserola. Rising sharply to the north-west, it affords spectacular views over the city and the surrounding coastline.
This was the brief for the logo design that Luis Velasco, owner of the mediterranean food restaurant, asked me. Tibidabo is the place where he borned. Design the skyline from Tibidabo was exciting and the right idea to explane in graphic the essence of this word. Tapas, sangria and paella now are part of Playa guiones nights.

The project for Il Basilico took me a month of details on a big piece of pochote wood. I started redesigning the logo to give a little bit of italian way with colors and putting two little basilico leafs. Chandy asked me a double side wood sign for his Italian restaurant in Playa Guiones to give it more visibility and value. I’m starving now, I need a pizza.

Work for Nick Fairman, Go juice in Playa Guiones – Nosara, was really nice. He asked me to redesign the logo keeping the original colors, blu, white and orange. I change the lettering for “juice” with a cool hand script font doing some change in the vectors.
The choice of cedar was to have a nice and durable wood for the double side sign. The shape remind us a big pill used to give energy with vitamin, that we found in every juice or smoothie that Nick prepare every day with fresh and organic fruit and vegetable.
Once you are in Playa Guiones you have to stop for a refreshing or power juice for your healthy day!
